We are the team responsible for the core user journey: feed, discovery, search, and listing details. We don't just build interfaces; we build the engine that helps millions of users find and buy what they love. We are looking for an engineer who values the "how" as much as the "what." You should be someone who understands the browser's rendering pipeline and DOM underpinnings deeply, ensuring that our migration from Vue 2 to Vue 3 is not just a version bump, but a leap forward in performance and code quality.Core ResponsibilitiesLead small engineering pods to take complex features from discovery to production-scale delivery.Act as a key driver in our transition from Vue 2 to Vue 3, leveraging the Composition API and modern build tools (Vite/Webpack).Build responsive, accessible, and high-performance web applications with a focus on Core Web Vitals and efficient state management.Collaborate closely with Product and Design to ensure every pixel serves the user experience. You should bring a strong "sense of taste" to everything you build.Influence the technical roadmap and mentor junior/mid-level engineers through code reviews and architecture discussions.90-Day Success MetricsContribute production-ready code to both our legacy and modern environments within your first 30 days.Successfully migrate a complex module or shared component from Vue 2 to Vue 3.Lead the technical execution of a new buyer-facing feature, ensuring it meets our standards for performance and design polish.12-Month Success MetricsPropose and implement structural improvements to our web stack that measurably improve developer velocity and site speed.Become the primary technical point of contact for our search and discovery front-end architecture.Level up the team's collective knowledge of browser internals and modern JavaScript best practices.Desired Skills5+ years of software development experience, with a focus on high-scale web applications.Deep understanding of JavaScript fundamentals (Event Loop, DOM API, browser rendering) beyond framework-specific abstractions.Proven experience with Vue 2 and Vue 3. Experience navigating the friction of migrating between the two is highly preferred.Experience leading small teams or project "pods" and a track record of driving features to completion.A sharp eye for UI/UX and a passion for creating "great" web design rather than just "functional" code.Familiarity with modern build tools (Vite, Webpack), RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
