This role analyzes network performance, diagnoses and resolves complex issues, and coordinates with internal teams, external agencies, and vendors to ensure seamless mission support. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the specialist manages network infrastructure projects, drives process improvements, and advises leadership on technology enhancements. A constant focus on IT security vigilance is essential to safeguard AF TENCAP's network integrity and mission-critical communications.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSAnalyze network performance data, interpret fault conditions, and recommend effective solutions to maintain optimal system operations across multiple classification levels.Manage network administration activities, including configuration, patching, monitoring, and optimization of LAN/WAN infrastructure, encryption devices, and cabling systems.Oversee troubleshooting and restoration efforts for complex network outages, coordinating with internal teams, external agencies, and vendors to ensure rapid resolution.Lead network infrastructure projects, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives, ensuring alignment with AF TENCAP's mission requirements and lifecycle planning.Assess system performance trends, drive process improvements, and implement best practices for efficiency, security, and reliability.Coordinate the integration of new network capabilities, ensuring interoperability and compliance with DoD and AF network standards.Advise leadership on emerging technologies, risk mitigation strategies, and network enhancement opportunities.Consult with cross-functional IT teams to ensure cohesive, mission-aligned network operations and change management.Educate stakeholders on network usage, security protocols, and operational best practices.Maintain constant IT security vigilance, proactively identifying, mitigating, and reporting network threats in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, AF cybersecurity directives, and AFI 17-130.Operate with a high degree of autonomy, making informed decisions to support AF TENCAP's dynamic mission priorities and ensure network readiness in rapidly changing operational environments.WORK ENVIRONMENTThis is an Onsite position in Colorado Springs that requires work to be performed onsite at a customer location.Working indoors in an office.PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to sit for prolonged periodsMust be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and/or squatMust be able to perform repetitive tasks or motions for prolonged periodsMust have sufficient physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina to complete various tasks.SALARY RANGE$103,500 - $115,000 (annual) depending on qualifications*We will be accepting applications until 10/1/26*REQUIERMENTSREQUIED EDUCATION: High School Diploma.Hold and maintain an 8570 IAT II compliant certification (Sec+).EXPERIENCE: 4+ years of IT network support experienceExperience supporting DoD networks and classified communication systems.Experience with VoIP call managersExperience with VTC suitesExperience using Microsoft Office applications and common troubleshooting tools.Experience in Windows Server environmentsExperience in Cisco CLI and with Cisco infrastructure devicesSECURITY CLEARANCE: Must hold an active TOP SECRET/SCI security clearanceAleut offers the following benefits to eligible employees:Health insuranceDental/Vision insurancePaid Time OffShort- and Long-Term DisabilityLife insurance401k and matchAt Aleut, our culture thrives on diversity, inclusion, and collaboration.
