Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Jacksonville, Florida, for a Mechanical Engineer. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for performing mechanical analyses, designing and evaluating machinery, and conducting failure investigations. The role involves utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) tools, contributing to research and development projects, and managing engineering projects from concept to completion. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with teams to deliver findings and recommendations rooted in rigorous engineering methods.
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for performing mechanical inspections and evaluating motor vehicle crashes. The role involves conducting motor vehicle ‘black box’ downloads, recreating motor vehicle crashes using engineering analyses and simulation tools and managing forensic engineering projects from concept to completion.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles and practices
Experience with Machine Design and applications
Proficient in using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools
Strong Project Management and organizational skills
Ability to conduct thorough Research and Development (R&D)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field required
Professional Engineering (PE) licensure or eligibility to obtain is a plus
Experience in forensic engineering or failure analysis is highly desirable
