Carpenter

We are a boutique design-build firm in Denver, Colorado, and we do things a little differently than most.

Design and construction live under one roof here, which means our carpenters and our designers are on the same team and in the same conversation, from the first walkthrough to the last punchlist item. Most of our work is kitchen remodels, bathroom renovations, main level updates, historic restorations, and additions around the Denver metro. A lot of it happens in homes people are still living in, which shapes how we work. Dust control, protection, and a clean site at the end of the day are not extras here, they are part of the craft.

Promise over prestige is how we operate. We would rather do the thing we said we would do, and do it well, than chase the flashiest version of it. Nobody here will ask you to rush past something that is not finished properly.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site carpenter position in the Denver metro area, reporting to our lead carpenters.

You would work the full arc of a project with us: site services and setup including dumpsters, storage, and erosion control, then protection and demolition, framing and structural work, exterior work, and interior finishing such as windows, doors, flooring, cabinetry, and trim. We build to meet or exceed NAHB guidelines, and we give you the time to get there.

You would also carry the daily rhythm that keeps a job running well. That means coordinating deliveries, keeping the site organized, documenting progress with daily photos and notes, and tracking your time and expenses digitally. Because our designers are in-house, you can raise a field challenge and get a real answer the same day instead of waiting weeks for a response.

Qualifications

• Trade school training or 2+ years of employment as a carpenter
• OSHA 10 certification preferred
• Framing, structural, and finish carpentry experience in residential construction, including windows, doors, flooring, cabinetry, and trim
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and to work to NAHB quality standards
• Safe and effective use of hand and power tools
• Comfort working in occupied homes, including protection, dust control, and daily cleanup
• Comfortable using a phone or tablet on site and open to learning our systems. We run projects in Buildertrend, QuickBooks, Workforce time tracking, Gmail, and Google Calendar, and we will train you on all of it. Prior experience with these tools is a plus, not a requirement
• Strong verbal and written communication with designers, clients, and trade partners
• Highly collaborative work style and a willingness to flag problems early
• Physical ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work in varying site conditions
• Reliable transportation to Denver metro job sites, plus punctual and professional work habits

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position. Our company minimum wage is $25 per hour, and pay above that is based on experience, certifications, and what you bring to the crew.
