Job Description

Database AdministratorWork closely with the Compliance Manager to provide technical and organizational leadership for the Head Start program's database environment.Education/Certification:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or related fieldSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Advanced Microsoft Office user (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)Strong math and analytical skillsStrong computer skills that include hands-on use of a network system and various software applicationsStrong coordination skills and attention to detailAbility to work in a team settingExcellent written and oral communication skillsSolid understanding of databases and data miningExperience:Strong experience in data collection, data input, database maintenance, and data analysisExperience in staff training preferredMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Model HCDE and Head Start's mission, vision, and values.Develop and coordinate relevant report design, production, distribution, storage, and maintenance program.Manage all data projects and prepare required data reports in a timely manner, including but not limited to, the annual Program Information Report (PIR), the Annual Report, the Monthly Performance Report, and other reports as requested.Create reports and products based on reporting needs of the programs.Facilitate communication between Head Start and other database administrators and developers.Provide consistent customer service support to center-based staff, Coordinators, and Data Compliance Specialists.Provide database training and orientation, technical assistance, and database support to program users.Serve as the database administrator for the program's main data collection program by coordinating the development and maintenance of the system.Coordinate relevant report design, production, distribution and storage of data for the Head Start program.Attend meetings with appropriate Head Start staff related to the use of the database.Maintain data confidentiality and data integrity.Perform other duties as assigned.
