Warehouse Assembler at the Stockton AirportAs a Warehouse Assembler, you will efficiently manage the unloading and loading of Amazon packages from freight trucks into cargo containers for plane transportation. Your role involves assembling packages in a manner that maximizes space and fits the maximum number of packages.ResponsibilitiesUnload and load Amazon packages onto cargo containers from trucks, with packages already loaded on carts.Break down and remove packages from carts and load them into cargo containers for airline transportation.Assemble items in a 'Tetris style' to maximize package occupancy in cargo containers.Place small boxes and mail into larger bags before loading them onto cargo containers.Maintain accurate inventory records using scanning and tracking systems.Follow safety protocols and conduct quality control checks.Collaborate effectively with team members and ensure clear communication.Essential SkillsExperience as ramp agents.Proficiency in loading and unloading trucks.General labor skills.Ability to assemble and palletize packages.Inventory management skills.Order pulling experience.Proficiency in using scanners.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Reliable transportation to Stockton Airport (no public transportation available).Great attendance, adhering to strict attendance policy.Willingness to submit to drug and background checks.Must have steel-toed boots that cover the ankle.Why Work Here?Enjoy hands-on training and earn certifications at the airport. The role includes working weekends and getting two consecutive days off mid-week. Shifts available are 2:30 PM - 11 PM, 10 PM - 6:30 AM, and 1:30 AM - 10 AM, with flexibility required as flight schedules change every three months.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Stockton, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
