Big Data Senior EngineerLocation: Phoenix, AZDuration: 6+ monthsResponsibilities:Senior Engineer with hands on experience in Big Data platforms and software like MapR, Horton WorksExperience designing and developing cloud based Big Data solutions with AWS would be an added advantageAWS solutions experience including S3, EMR and frameworks such as MAPR/Hortonworks/Cloudera is preferredDevelops, documents and implements best practices for Big Data solutionsSolid understanding of ETL architectures, database partitioning, optimization, and building communication channels between structured and unstructured databaseGood collaboration & communication skills, the ability to participate in an interdisciplinary teamPrior experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, and workload mapping a plusShortly:Big Data experience in MapR, Horton Works + AWS is the ideal candidate.But candidates with strong Big Data platform knowledge (MapR, Horton Works) only also would be given consideration.
