Software Architect And DebuggerInside the RoleThe Driver Experience Customer Domain develops HMI platforms for our Daimler Truck vehicle products for our global brands and markets. We provide innovative HMI solutions to our customers and their drivers. We are seeking a highly motivated Software Architect and Debugger for one of our HMI ECUs. Being part of our global development team, you will contribute defining our software architecture as well as root causing software bugs.What You Drive at DTNADesign and document software architecture and concepts for technical and non-technical requirementsEnsure scalability and efficiency of our softwareEnsure usage of our software in our global productsAlign CI/CD toolchain with internal and external stakeholdersResearch solutions and best practices within and outside the automotive industryDebugging of functional and non-functional issuesProvide resolutions for issuesCoordinate globally, internal and external stakeholders incl. supplierOrganize software development process across the entire driver experience domainCoach and mentor team members and colleagues on all aspects of development – from methodologies to executionCreate documentation, reports, presentationsKnowledge You Should BringBachelor's degree in computer science, or related field, and 5-7 years in software development, is requiredExpertise in software development and embedded software development using agile methodsExperience with Android, Kanzi, Matlab/SimulinkExperience in service oriented architecturesExperience with identifying and solving the root cause of complex problemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAnalytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skillsDetail oriented, reliable, and self-motivatedStrong skills in communication and team coordination across global teams (considering different cultural backgrounds) especially with the US, Germany, and IndiaAbility to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing changePositive and collaborative attitudeAn attached resume is requiredExceptional Candidates Might HaveExperience: several years in Daimler Truck HMI Software DevelopmentExperience with Daimler Truck development processes for HMI platformsExperience in Engineering of Daimler Truck productsWhere We WorkThis position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s)- Portland, OR US.
