Controller

We are seeking a Controller for an institutional real estate client to lead accounting, fund administration support, and portfolio reporting, and serve as the primary finance and accounting partner to the Portfolio Management team.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

10-15+ years of progressive experience in real estate investment accounting, fund administration, or private equity real estate.

Experience in institutional real estate investment management.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and complex data analysis

Prior experience with financial ERPs such as Pereview, Yardi, or MRI.

Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated leadership of teams supporting institutional portfolios or investment management platforms.

Strong understanding of institutional separate accounts, programmatic joint ventures, and real estate investment structures.

Experience preparing or reviewing portfolio-level financial reporting and capital account management.

Thorough knowledge of GAAP, real estate investment accounting principles, NAV methodologies, waterfall and promote calculations, and valuation processes.

Compensation *The above represents the lowest to highest expected salary range for this job opening. Our client ultimately may pay more or less than the posted salary range, and the salary range may be modified in the future. Non-base compensation Employees are eligible for discretionary annual bonuses, dependent upon individual and company performance.
