As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and deliver scalable software solutions that support our transportation and logistics platforms. Working closely with product, engineering, and business partners, we build and support scalable applications for shipment tracking, exception management, and carrier connectivity. Our collaborative, cross-functional team embraces modern engineering practices and empowers each member to take ownership and deliver meaningful business results.What You Will DoUse AI-assisted and agentic engineering practices across discovery, design, coding, testing, documentation, and support while maintaining accountability for solution quality, security, and supportabilityCollaborate directly with Product Managers, Product Owners, Technical Leads, and business stakeholders to clarify problems and requests, challenge assumptions, evaluate tradeoffs, and deliver valuable business outcomesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack software applications and services, writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code across backend and user-facing componentsDesign and implement complex backend services, APIs, integrations, core system components, and user-facing application featuresParticipate in architecture discussions, technology strategy, technical decision-making, code reviews, and technical design discussions to ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practicesProvide technical guidance and mentorship to software engineers while helping resolve complex technical challengesImprove application performance, scalability, reliability, and observabilitySupport and maintain existing applications by troubleshooting and resolving production issuesDocument code, technical designs, architectural decisions, and engineering processesShare reusable patterns, lessons, and practices that improve engineering speed and quality across teamsWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)ExperienceleveragingAI-powered development tools and solutions, including LLMs and agentic systems, while ensuring generated outputs meet standards for quality, security, maintainability, and business valueExperience designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using .NET and related application frameworksExperience on backend services, APIs, integrations, data access patterns, and user-facing application featuresExperience developing user-facing application features using modern front-end frameworks or technologiesExperience designing and developing APIs, integrations, service-oriented solutions,andtranslating business requirements into technical solutionsExperience supporting applications through the full software development lifecycleExperience collaborating with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver software solutions from discovery to productionExperience delivering software through small, cross-functional teams with broad individual ownership and accountability for outcomesExperience leading technical activities including code reviews, complex designs, architecture discussions, and troubleshootingExperience mentoring orprovidingtechnical guidance to other engineersWhat Will Put You AheadExperience incorporating AI capabilities into enterprise software solutionsExperience working on large software development teams delivering enterprise-scale applicationsExperience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, fleet management, or related industriesExperience using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or VueExperience designing and implementing microservices and distributed systemsExperience with cloud-native development, containerization, and DevOps practicesExperience with test strategy, test planning, and automated testing frameworksExperience improving system observability, monitoring, and operational excellenceExperience working in Agile product development environmentsExperience with relational and document databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDBAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
