Customer Service Representative

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative. This position is onsite at our Omaha NE Eaton facility.

As a part of the Customer Service team, you will perform a variety of duties to support the organizational unit, from order entry to shipment, communicating via written and oral channels with internal and external Eaton customers. In this role you will provide help maintain and support data for plant monthly financial goals, scheduling of customer orders, provide timely updates to all stakeholders, assist in maintaining OTP/AWSD plant metrics (specific suffixes), and assist in the preparation or revision of ISO work instructions. As part of a growing team, you will also provide back-up for other Customer Service positions within the local department as needed.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $69000 - $101000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What You'll Do:

In this role:

  • Schedules orders from Order Entry to Shipment (including engineering, drafting, fabrication and manufacturing)
  • Maintain VISTA scheduling system information in an accurate and credible manner.
  • Maintain computer master schedules within the system, OMS, VISTA.
  • Maintain accurate information relating to monthly sales, backlogs and orders.
  • Reports data for monthly forecasting.
  • Establish level loading of manufacturing by maintaining product line capacity spreadsheets.
  • Maintain customer logs (Con Ed Serial logs and delivery schedules) and distributes to appropriate parties each month.
  • Establish level loading of Engineering, Drafting.
  • Attends weekly ISO meeting with ISO employees to review backlog orders.
  • Monitor company performance, on-time shipments to customers, re-scheduling orders timely.
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving of the products/materials to ultimate customer locations.
  • Produces Plant Customs documents/Special markings for shipping of product.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with assigned company customers.
  • Arranges customer witness tests/inspections/approval meetings with engineering and field sales. (coordinate conference rooms, caf, badge information)
  • Works with field sales for ship short permission and follows these parts until the final part has been supplied to the customer.
  • Communicates all status updates of drawings and shipment via email, vista or phone conversations.
  • Processes Expedites promptly.
  • Processes Vista Change notices for shipment details/others routes to appropriate SE/COE
  • Process claims, credit memos and manual invoices.
  • Work with sales in quoting order lead times to insure receipt of customer orders.
  • Communicate to sales/marketing current lead times.
  • Archive General Order Folders per Product Line requirements.
  • Plan and lead daily production meetings to ensure effective internal communications relating to company manufacturing schedules.
  • Work with drafting to release drawings on Plant Order Manager when complete.
  • Responsible for Customer Expeditor Visits.
  • Creates Customer Status Reports when requested.
  • Performs 5S duties/rotates auditor position.
  • All employees are expected to comply with the environment, health and safety guidelines.
  • Responsible for making sure all orders invoice correctly at the close of the month.
  • Responsible for working with credit department to remove credit holds.
  • Responsible for archiving orders once a year.
  • Represent CS in meetings/VSM, project meetings.
  • Represent CS in Tier meetings.
  • Lead CS tier meetings

Qualifications:

BASIC REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing/operations environment.
  • No relocation assistance is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles geographical radius of Omaha NE be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution.
  • Previous experience managing product commitments to customer expectations, customer invoicing, effective inventory control against product order life cycle and measuring and reporting on time performance.
  • Previous project mgt experience in a manufacturing environment.

Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) Effective communication skills written and oral. Proficient time management skills, ability to work within cross-functional teams, able to drive for results independently, and possess strong multitasking skillsets.
