Platform Engineering & Operations - HybridGenesis10 is currently seeking a Platform Engineering & Operations - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role will lead the administration, monitoring, and performance tuning of Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) environments within a large-scale enterprise ecosystem. The ideal candidate will define and implement SRE principles, including infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible, to build and maintain self-healing systems and improve system resilience. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.Responsibilities:Lead the administration, monitoring, and performance tuning of Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) environmentsOversee the design, build, and lifecycle management of Linux servers, including storage and virtualizationManage high availability (HA) configurations, clustering, and load-balanced environmentsDefine and implement SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgetsLead initiatives for infrastructure automation (provisioning, configuration, patching) using tools such as AnsibleInstall, configure, and maintain OEL operating systems and related software stacksManage Logical Volume Manager (LVM), distributed file systems, NFS, and automount configurationsLead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and postmortem reviewsEnsure systems are secure, hardened, and compliant with enterprise security standardsProvide technical leadership and mentorship to SRE and infrastructure teamsRequirements:5+ years of experience in Linux system administration in enterprise environmentsStrong expertise in Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) systemsProven experience in high availability systems, virtualization, and storage managementHands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools like AnsibleProficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Bash, Python preferred)Strong experience with infrastructure troubleshooting, performance tuning, and incident managementSolid understanding of enterprise infrastructure (compute, storage, network)Desired Skills:Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsStrong communication and collaboration skills in a global team environmentPay range: $55.13 - $63.13 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
