Java/AWS Power System Software ConsultantJoin a dynamic team focused on developing and modernizing enterprise-grade power system applications within the energy sector. This role involves designing scalable, secure solutions that support load forecasting, outage coordination, and other critical energy operations, leveraging Java and AWS cloud technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based Power Systems applications.Implement scalable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and AWS services such as Step Functions.Build and support integrations between enterprise applications and data platforms.Ensure application reliability, scalability, security, and performance.Support modernization initiatives, including cloud migration and microservices adoption.Collaborate with system operators, data engineers, and cloud engineers throughout the SDLC.Implement monitoring, automation, logging, and operational support processes.Provide technical leadership for system enhancements, upgrades, and performance optimization.Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.Experience developing Java applications in energy, utilities, or large enterprise environments.Proficiency with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture.Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS/ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, and Step Functions.Knowledge of enterprise relational databases such as Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL.Understanding of Power Systems, Load Forecasting, Outage Coordination, or Energy Operations.Exposure to ML/AI applications like time-series analytics and forecasting.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and cloud operations.Preferred QualificationsExperience leading architecture, modernization, or cloud transformation initiatives.Background in energy or utility sectors with enterprise application development.About Delphi-US - Peacemakers in the Talent War Delphi-US is a national IT Services firm based in Newport, Rhode Island.
