Job Description

Software DeveloperBCMC is supporting a U.S. Government customer to provide support for onsite incident response to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners who experience cyber-attacks, providing immediate investigation and resolution. Contract personnel perform investigations to characterize the severity of breaches, develop mitigation plans, and assist with the restoration of services. We are seeking a Software Developer to support this critical customer mission.Responsibilities:Designing, troubleshooting, and implementing software code for end-to-end software development and service integrationsDesigns, develops, enhances, debugs, integrates, and implements software stacks for on premise and cloud-based tools and servicesTroubleshoots production problems related to software applications and pipeline workflowsResearches, tests, builds, and coordinates the integration of new products based on user and mission requirementsInitiates action for evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing toolsAutomate deployments, testing, and builds using IaC toolings including Ansible, Terraform, Git-CI, and othersImplements recommendations for improving documentation and development process standardsEnsures quality control of all developed and modified prototype software through rigorous staged testing and pipelinesEstablish optimal configurations and tunings for COTS, GOTS, and open source technologies pertaining to mission needs and project baselinesNavigate and work within linux and container heavy environments including Openshift, RHEL, Alma, and DockerRequired Skills/Clearances:U.S. CitizenshipMust have an active Secret clearance; TS/SCI is preferredMust be able to obtain DHS Suitability2+ years of directly relevant experience in applications developmentKnowledge of secure software development lifecycle and code versioning and maintenanceExperience with assessing and integrating commercial off the shelf (COTS) productsKnowledge and familiarity to work with the installation, demonstration, test, validation and evaluation of new and existing software, tools, methods, and software measurement technologiesMust have operational experience with Python and Linux terminalsKnowledge of software automation, application development, and RESTful architectureKnowledge of data ETL workflows for on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environmentsExperience working and developing in/with containerization software including Kubernetes, Docker, and RedshiftExperience working with IaC including Ansible, Git-CI, Cloudformation, and TerraformMust have strong communication skills and have experience interacting and with customers directly in a project environment or technical demonstrationMust be able to work collaboratively across remote and physical locationsDesired Skills:Experience with two or more of the following: Python, JSON, Data Analytics, MongoDB, MinIO, Ansible, Vue.js, React, HTML, Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, Openshift, AWS, View Jazz Framework, Process Automation, Terraform, CI/CD knowledgeRequired Education:BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree; or HS Diploma & 4-6 years of directly relevant experience.Desired Certifications:CSSLPSec+Our Company Overview Business Computers Management Consulting Group, LLC (BCMC) is a small business specializing in Information Technology (IT), Cybersecurity, Information Assurance (IA), SOA, Big Data Management, Program Management, and more for Federal, State, and Local agencies.
