Software Engineering Manager for the Core

Processing Software Team (F35)

Responsibilities include:

-CPSW program work force management

(reassignments/placements, recruitment, selection of

new employees, and terminations)

-Personnel management (training, mentoring, career

development, performance/compensation, and

promotions)

-Management responsibility will include collaboration

with F35 teams, Aeronautics Programs, and other

Business Units. The successful candidate will be

expected to support communications with all levels

of employees, customers, and industry from

engineer to executive. Strong skills in conflict

resolution, proactive communication , building

collaborative relationships and other "soft skills" are

desired.

-Support pursuit and management of technology

Manages software development activities. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Oversees the design, development, documentation, and testing of software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications

A level 5 employee

Typically has 14 - 20 years of professional

experience.

Desired Skills

Experience shaping and leading a diverse team in a

dynamic business environment

• Experience in C++, OOA/OOD, Eclipse IDE,

and Atlassian tool suite

• Experience preparing and delivering briefings

to leadership

• Experience as a CAM and related CAM tools

Experience in conflict resolution, proactive

communication, and building collaborative

relationships

DevSecOps experience and knowledge

Excellent presentation skills and must be able to

convey focused messages to internal senior

leadership and external customers

Experience developing detailed plans in support of

technical assignments

Knowledge of Agile Software Development

Knowledge of JIRA, Bitbucket, UML, Rhapsody, C- Ability to work with different engineering disciplines

to derive and decompose requirements

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Experience working in technical teams across a

virtual environment

Experience with proposal management

Understanding of Software and Systems

engineering processes

Knowledge and understanding of Software Metrics

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $148300.00 - $275500.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
