Equipment OperatorWood Resources is a provider of equipment operators who are responsible for the safe operation of equipment, i.e., front-end loaders, excavators. Must be able to work in Algiers, Harahan, Waggaman, Donaldsonville, and Hahnville.Equipment operators are required to:Operate excavator to move, load, and grade earth, rock, gravel, or other materials during construction.Read and interpret blueprints or designs to understand the requirements of the job.Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate, and refuel equipmentComplete daily equipment inspectionsCommunicate with customers and employeesFollow all company safety rules and regulations while performing dutiesJob requirements:Adhere to company attendance policyReading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documentsAbility to work independently and as a member of a teamMust have reliable transportation to designated Wood Resources locationsMust be at least eighteen (18) years of age1-3 years of experiencePhysical requirements:Candidates must pass a pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screeningAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Prolonged periods of sitting (8+ hours)Moderate -High noise levelsWood Resources, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
