Process Engineer

Brief Description

The Process Engineer I ensures Process Engineering Standards and how they relate to the development, documentation, and production of all products at All Flex. The Process Engineer I has a thorough understanding of circuit assembly and design variables which affect product quality. The Process Engineer I reports to the Process Engineering Manager.

Own and back-up a limited number of processes.

Support Operations with process, equipment, instruction, material, and part number challenges.

Own daily root cause analysis on failures, and corrective and preventative actions.

Fully document Standard Operating Procedures, Control Plans, Risk Mitigations, Environmental Health & Safety Requirements. Photo and video-based instructions are desired.

Write assembly instructions for part numbers as needed.

Participate in cross-functional improvements.

Own small projects.

Support audits and customer visits.

Maintain and improve process controls and process capability.

Corroborate with and travel to other AFS factories, to grow knowledge.

Provide occasional evening and weekend phone support.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s of Science degree in an engineering field: manufacturing, mechanical, chemical, electrical, or industrial, or similar studies.

Experience And/or Training

0-2 years of relevant experience

Experienced with Minitab.

Experience with SPC, Lean Manufacturing implementation, Theory of Constraints or Cell Manufacturing

Technology/Equipment

Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Travel

Up to 5%
